Older versions of security solution are not likely to work on Windows 7, hence you are required to install new editions of security solutions. Most of the big-name developers, such as Symantec and McAfee, have introduced their subscription-based products. Microsoft claims that Security Essentials isn't designed to replace full-strength suites. MSE does not have many features those products have such as e-mail scanning and a software firewall.
Other free security programs give real competition to MSE, led by the wildly popular AVG Free. Now AVG has launched a new version, AVG Free 9.0, for Windows 7, Vista, XP and 2000. Like its predecessors, it is certified for use on only one consumer computer - it's not to be used on a PC on a net-work. It is given that 80 million people use AVG Free which is perhaps the most violated software. AVG 9.0 has enhanced performance and has less effect on system resources. It has several security features than Microsoft's product lacks, including an e-mail scanner and a module that checks links on Web sites to ensure that they're safe.
The much-improved LinkScanner, however, only works in Internet Explorer or Firefox. Earlier editions of the LinkScanner had users racing to turn it off because it lessens Web surfing. But this emphasis is lightning-fast. When a search engine is used by you, the scanner checks the resulting links and, if they're deemed safe, places a green icon next to each result. But If the scanner suspects something malicious, along with details, it will show that with more emphasized orange and red icons. This program has a good reputation for obstructing viruses and spyware. AVG is the most popular anti-virus software, and not only does it work just perfectly under Windows 7, but it’s on the list of a small number of software packages that are officially compatible as per Microsoft.
AVG’s latest version has the following enhanced features:
Protection against viruses, worms and Trojans.
Protection against spyware, adware and identity-theft.
Protection against hidden threats that deliver malicious content.
Catches e-mail threats including phishing, fraud and spam.
Stops hackers and viruses spread over the Internet.
Screens your downloads for malicious content.
Real-time protection from poisoned web pages.
Web Shield- lets you download and exchange files without risking virus infections.
E-mail Scanner-keeps you safe from dangerous attachments and links in your e-mail.
Superior Phishing Protection- Checks to make sure web pages really are what they appear to be.

hello... hapi blogging... have a nice day! just visiting here....
some viruses can work alongside spyware to make detection and removal extremely difficult. You should delete all temp files and also use registry cleaner because it involves the use of different applications that do a large bulk of the work in malware or spyware detection.
