The information in this post shows steps for removal of XP Police Antivirus manually from the system
Follow the steps below:
Step 1:- Delete the suspicious file(s) or folder(s) from the computer
From Start ?> Search, then click on For Files and Folders
Click on All files and folders
Type the filenames on the search box, and choose the Local Hard Drives
Click on Search.
Search the following files :
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\AVCoreFn.dll
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\bdconf.cfg
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\Core.dll
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\setup.dat
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\xppolice.exe
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\Plugins
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\Plugins\ceva_dll.cvd
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\Plugins\ceva_emu.cvd
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\Plugins\ceva_vfs.cvd
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\Plugins\ceva_vfs.ivd
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\Plugins\cevakrnl.cvd
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\Plugins\cevakrnl.ivd
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\Plugins\cevakrnl.rvd
%Program Files%\XPPoliceAntivirus\sounds

Step 2:- Manual Removal of suspicious entries from Registry.
Important This post contains information about how to modify the registry. Make sure that you back up the registry before you modify it. Make sure that you know how to restore the registry if a problem occurs
Click Start, Click run and type regedit.
Create a registry backup.
Locate the following registry keys, right click and Delete.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\XP Police Antivirus Restart the computer.Â
